They attended the work conference and kept things casual and light even though there was an attraction on both ends. On the last day, Jewell and Roger finally got to spend some time together, chatting, and getting to know one another. After talking for what seems like hours on their last day, they kept their conversation going even while they were on separate islands.
We took Shannan + Josh to the perfect location for an afternoon photo adventure session on the Big Island. We started on an abandoned road and then ventured to an amazing eucalyptus forest that led to a raging waterfall.
Brenna + Curtis have been friends ever since Brenna first arrived to the island. She started working at Kohala Zipline and immediately became friends with her new work buddy, Curtis. For years, they developed their friendship growing in their care for one another. Curtis, being from the island, was able to show Brenna some pretty amazing places she had never discovered before (including the location of our shoot).
While Sadik was living in Germany and Jessica in the States, they met online through a karaoke singing app. After discovering more about each other from a distance, Jessica took the leap of faith to fly and visit Sadik in Germany. When Jessica arrived to Germany, they hit the road and drove 2,000 miles across Europe and the rest is pretty much history!
They met each other while Ali was working at a restaurant where Zach was out to dinner with his family. Ali thought Zach was adorable, so she told the other waitresses that was waiting on the family that she wanted to be the one to run their food out to them and finalize their tickets at the end of dinner. They ended up exchanging numbers after that dinner and the rest is history.
The walking path we were going to take couldn't fit an entire car, so we followed the lava path down to the ocean. Honestly, it was one of the gnarliest rides I have been on in my entire time on Big Island. It was just a path of lava — absolutely no trail or road.
While we were chatting with Chelsea and Brandon before their shoot, we found out a more about their relationship and absolutely love their story. Chelsea + Brandon met as they participated in a discipleship training school in Kona, Hawaii. Just three months after they met, Chelsea was called to be a missionary in Cambodia for six months.
Kelly and Gyu were so incredibly kind. They literally have the sweetest story that goes along with their calming and loving sprits. Kelly was teaching English in South Korea and decided to join the local running club. It was there when the sparks flew between Kelly and GyuWook when they met.

After hustling through the busy cities in Colombia, we found the perfect town to settle down for a few days in Jardín. We were able get away from the city hustle, enjoy the brightly colored houses, start our mornings slow, mimic the locals drinking coffee and gathering in the main plaza, and explore the incredibly lush landscape.
