Golden Hour Photo Session with Michelle + Michael on the Cliffs of the Big Island, HI
Ryan and I left the house while it was still dark outside. For me, waking up before the sun rises for is so beautiful and peaceful. I love the quiet and stillness that exists in the early morning before everyone wakes. When Michelle and Michael wanted to book a couples golden hour session, I wondered if they would bring their newly born, six-month-old. I figured that as new parents, they might be totally exhausted and so tired for this shoot since babies at six months old aren't sleeping all the way through the night.
Even with the lack of sleep the night before, I can't tell you beautiful and joyful this little family of three was for this sunrise shoot. We all had an absolute blast! We were able to capture some incredible shots along the jagged cliffside of Big Island of just Michelle and Michael. While Ryan captured shots of Mom + Dad, I got to hang with Malakai (their sweet little boy).
While this couples session mainly revolved around Michelle and Michael, we couldn't have imagined a better sunrise shoot with some images captured of Malakai too. The hike to get to our location was absolutely perfect and wasn't too strenuous with Malakai in tow. It was the perfect mixture of soaking up the stunning golden hour rays, getting to play with Malakai, capturing and reigniting the love between Michelle and Micheal, and working together with Ryan to make this shoot in such an epic location!
