Adventure on Lahaina Cliffs
We met Jessica and Josh for a hike near Lahaina for our first stop during our adventure session in Maui. We knew that the cliffs would be an amazing backdrop for their Maui photo session. The wind was WILD on this day, but Jess and Josh totally rolled with it! The wind whipped Jess’s hair, but we love how these photos turned out! Sometimes, when the weather isn’t cooperating perfectly, the best thing to do is just go with it! Whenever our couples are able to relax into the moment is when some of our favorite photos are captured!
Lahaina Jungle Adventure
After our first stop, we made our way to a jungle area where we captured some more intimate shots with the incredible Maui jungle as our background. As we snapped photos, we also got to learn more about Jess and Josh. You guys, they were so adorable! They are both from a little country town in Texas where they grew just minutes from each other. However, they only started dating in college when Jess worked as a Red Bull representative. Jess would hand out all of her Red Bull to her friends, and after she handed a whole case to Josh, he never looked back. Jess was his girl ever since.
These two just got married two weeks before they made their way to Maui, and Josh decided to surprise her with a photoshoot during the Maui honeymoon. Josh told Jess to find the exact photographer that she wanted. Jess was thrilled and immediately started looking for Maui photographers through Instagram. She found us and we were absolutely stoked to shoot their adventure session in Maui!
Adventurous Water Shots Near Lahaina
We ended our shoot at a beautiful bay with some incredible water shots while watching the sunset. You guys, we had so much fun with Jess and Josh! They actually ended up flying over the day after we arrived back to the Big Island to adventure some more. We picked them up at the airport and took them on an adventure to some of our favorite waterfalls. We know that these two will be good friends of ours in the future. We were so happy to capture their love story both on Maui and the Big Island.
